Anti-Vaccination; Pro-Science; Pro-Health; Anti-Industry....
The concept of intrusive protection has existed since a very long time. They were directed against smallpox as the disease was persistent and deadly. Prior to vaccination there were three practices; olfaction, inoculation and variolation. These failed because of three reasons; they led to serious adverse effects, increased the death rate and helped the disease to spread among populations where they were practiced. By 1728 the medical profession knew very well that these concepts would not work.
Therefore when Jenner came out with similar concept eyebrows were raised. The smallpox vaccination was accepted upon a single case of James Phipps who after operation in May 1796 survived a disease challenge, and it was assumed the immunity was for life. However the incidence rapidly increased and the promised period of immunity reduced progressively from a lifetime to six months. Repeated revaccination was suggested which suited those implementing the practice for a handsome fee.

Measles cases surge amid rise of the anti-vaccination movement

The surge has been fueled in part by the anti-vaccination movement – most people who contract measles have not been vaccinated, the CDC said. If one person has the disease, up to 90% of the people close to that person will become infected if they are not immune, the CDC warned.

"The numbers serve as a kick in the butt that says, hey, we probably should start paying attention to vaccination again," he told USA TODAY. "One of the most challenging aspects of public health is balancing between individual liberty, for people who don't want the vaccine for whatever reason, and what is best for everyone."

"The religious communities that I've spoken to in no way prevent people from getting vaccinated," New York state Sen. David Carlucci said. "This (bill) would take any of that misconception out of the puzzle."

It seems highly unlikely that a loving God would intend to have fetuses harvested, processed, and injected back into the bodies of pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and children. And surely, God did not intend to have His children place their faith in a one-size-fits-all medical intervention based on a (secret) combination of human sacrifice and cannibalism.
In my church, it's not "polite" to try to counsel your leaders. OTOH, as the parent of a vaccine damaged (and currently recovering) child and a vaccine skeptic, I'd love to... show more

Gov. Matt Bevin (R - KY) exposed all of his nine children to chickenpox to raise immunity to it

“I don’t know why you would expose your child to something that could potentially have serious complications,” said Dr. Candice Dye, a pediatrician and associate professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. “When you get the vaccine your body is given a protective dose, which allows your body to make antigens so you don’t get the full-blown experience.”

But vaccinations cause autism, I read that on the internet!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the CDC, before the introduction of the varicella zoster vaccine in 1995, about 4 million people got chickenpox each year in the United States. Over 10,500 of those were hospitalized, and about 100 to 150 died each year.

The CDC recommends two doses of the chickenpox vaccine, as this amount is about 90 percent effective in protecting the person against the disease. Doctors usually administer the first dose between the ages of 12 and 15 months and the second... show more

Adverse Effects of Pertussis and Rubella Vaccines: A Report of the Committee to Review the Adverse Consequences of Pertussis and Rubella Vaccines.
History of Suspected Association with Pertussis Vaccines

Among the earliest case reports suggesting a possible link between infantile spasms and pertussis immunization are those of Baird and Borofsky (1957). They described 24 children who had hypsarrhythmia and infantile myoclonic seizures and whose development prior to the onset of spasms was apparently normal. Nine cases of infantile spasms were reported to have occurred between 1 and 5 days after DPT vaccination. Three of these nine children also had a history of perinatal complications that the authors thought might have been related to a risk of infantile spasms. The authors also stated, on the basis of

Child to anti-vaxxers wishes to testify before Congress

I’m happy to share that I’ll be testifying at a hearing for the committee of health, education labor, and pensions about the importance of vaccinations! Check out "Her response was simply 'that's what they want you to think,' " Lindenberger said. "I was just blown away that you know, the largest health organization in the entire world would be written off with a kind of conspiracy theory-like statement like that." the video here!https://t.co/sPM12poJVi

In a previous interview, the teen told NPR News of his mother's reaction to information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention countering misinformation on vaccines.

Imagine it: In the US, an actually quite developed nation of the first world, there was a measles outbreak. An epidemic that was caused by preventable illnesses. Just because there are conspiracy theories floating around in the world wide web, that tells na... show more

NVIC’s “No Forced Vaccination” Message Back Up in Times Square As Americans Fight for Human Rights....
There have been 101 cases of measles that have been reported in 10 states since the beginning of 2019, hardly a public health emergency in a U.S. population of more than 320 million people where 94 percent of school children have received two doses of MMR vaccine and only two percent of children have a vaccine exemption for any reason. In what looks like a repeat of the “measles in Disneyland” media feeding frenzy that stampeded California state legislators into eliminating the personal belief vaccine exemption in 2015, the tiny minority of parents who have made a conscious choice not to give their children every one of the dozens of doses of federally recommended and state mandated vaccines are being once again relentlessly stereotyped, demonized and bullied.

The people who vaccinate the least are the most educated and affluent

Here is a quote from Prevent Disease

Studies Demonstrate The More Educated You Are, The Less Chance You Will Vaccinate

More educated parents are less likely to vaccinate, which contradicts the misconceptions of many health professionals who profess that parents don't vaccinate because they are under-educated, poor or misinformed.

One publication of medical research linking the MMR vaccine to autism in The Lancet in February 1998 sparked a decade-long controversy about the triple jab. Following the initial publication, the uptake rate of the MMR vaccine dropped from 92% in 1997/98 to 80% in 2003/04.

A report examines how the response to the MMR controversy varied between parents with different levels of education. It revealed that:

Before 1998, highly educated parents were up to 8% more likely to take up the MMR vaccine... show more

Measles epidemic leaves 70 people dead on the Philippines

A total of 4 302 cases of measles have been reported throughout the country, it added.

"Of the total deaths, ages ranged from one month to 31 years old," the department said. "Notably, 79% of those who died had no history of vaccination."

79 percent. This is roughly more than three quarters of all deaths. Let that sink in, please.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque has blamed the increase on low vaccination rates among children due to a scare triggered by a controversial programme to immunise children against dengue in 2017.

Measles at record high thanks to anti-vaxxers

"Progress has been uneven between and within countries, leaving increasing clusters of susceptible individuals unprotected, and resulting in a record number of people affected by the virus in 2018," it said in a statement.

In many countries, anti-vaccine campaigners seek to dissuade parents from getting their children immunised, despite strong scientific evidence that vaccines are safe and effective.

They try to infect our children with autism!!!1!!!!!!1 Believe me, I read it on the internet!!1!!!!!!1!!!!!!

Some thoughts on debate and the political spectrum...

I've noticed the vaccine debate parallels the gun-control debate in many ways. Both seem to be very polarizing, with not a lot of middle ground. Both sides view the other as a danger to public health and especially children. It seems that no matter how much the topic is argued and debated people remain very rigid in their position.

While there may be some individual exceptions, it's interesting to me that both sides in the debate tend to skew between left-leaning and right-leaning politically. (While there may be some right-leaning individuals who support a mandatory vaccination schedule,) it seems those who are opposed tend to mostly lean right. This could possibly be to do with an imposed Hegelian dialectic, as it seems to me there would be a lot of left-wing reasons to oppose forced vaccinations. Another poss... show more
