Trump wanted to punish "sanctuary cities" by dumping released immigrant detainees there

The Trump Administration twice approached ICE to suggest that, hey, when they had asylum seekers or illegal immigrants who needed to be released while waiting their hearings, they ship them off to “to small- and mid-sized sanctuary cities”.
The White House told U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that the plan was intended to alleviate a shortage of detention space but also served to send a message to Democrats. The attempt at political retribution raised alarm within ICE, with a top official responding that it was rife with budgetary and liability concerns, and noting that “there are PR risks as well.”
“PR risks.”
After the White House pressed again in February, ICE’s legal department rejected the idea as inappropriate and rebuffed the administration.
So for all the people suggesting that ICE needs to be abolished and reconstituted as a new agency, their legal department, at least, should be k... show more

So I Got A Letter From The RCMP About The Mosque Shooting…You WON'T BELIEVE What They Have To Say!!

Breaking News in regards to the Alexandre Bissonnette mosque shooting case…It’s been well over two years since 6 men were killed and nineteen others were injured in Canada’s deadliest mosque shooting to date at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City. Since then, the term “Islamaphobia” has been widely accepted as a reality in Canada and so called “far right” individuals and groups are being banned from social media and other online services. In this video Dan Dicks of Press For Truth breaks the news that the RCMP is claiming that they are unable to locate the cctv footage that would reveal the truth about whether or not Bissonnette acted alone or not. Are they completely incompetent or are they lying and either way, can we really trust them anymore?

Iran reacts to Trump's declaration of Revolutionary Guards as «terrorist organisation»

In a statement carried on Monday by Iran's state-run IRNA news agency, the council said it also declared all US forces operating in the Middle East "terrorist groups".

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, for his part, criticised Drumpf's decision as "another dangerous US misadventure" in the Middle East and a "misguided election-eve gift" to Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, Iran's regional archenemy.

Drumpf said the decision "underscores the fact that Iran's actions are fundamentally different from those of other governments" and vowed to continue increasing financial pressure on Tehran until "it abandons its malign and outlaw behaviour".

ILPS condemns Duterte for slander and intimidation

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), which I represent as Chairperson of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC), hereby condemns in the strongest terms the attempt of the notorious Duterte regime to slander the ILPS and misrepresent it as the international network and International Department of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) for the purpose of intimidating the legal and patriotic and progressive organizations of Filipinos in the Philippines and abroad.

Contrary to the false claim of the Duterte regime, the ILPS is a broad alliance of hundreds of anti-imperialist and democratic mass organizations in scores of countries from all continents. The ICC, its supreme leading organ, is elected by the International Assembly and is restricted by the ILPS Charter from having more than three members from the same country, thus preempting control of the ILPS by any single country or organization.

WWF withdrew information of human rights violations in Salonga National Park in Cameroon and DRC

(As you can see right below the headline, this article ist just part two of an investigative trilogy. As it seems, abundant blood is on the WWF's hands, the environmentalist engagement has a dark past. Thus, feel encouraged to also read the other two parts of this series)
WWF responded by announcing an “independent review” of the evidence. “We see it as our urgent responsibility to get to the bottom of the allegations BuzzFeed has made, and we recognize the importance of such scrutiny,” the charity said in a statement.

After obtaining the report, BuzzFeed News contacted its author, Diel Mochire Mwenge. He said that the charity did not acknowledge the findings of his report publicly “because it incriminated them.”

But secret budgeting documents show how closely WWF’s staff have worked with the government forces. The charity has helped train them, paid their salaries, and built them home

On the oncoming gubernatorial election in Turkey

1. Ahval:

“Erdoğan is firmly entrenched in an all-powerful presidency after winning re-election last year, but he nevertheless sees the elections for mayors and city councils as a referendum on his authoritarian style of rule.”

Opinion polls show Erdoğan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) behind in Turkey’s capital Ankara, the industrial hub of Bursa and the southern city of Adana. In Istanbul the ruling party is ahead by less than a point, according to one poll last week.

Bahar, a 29-year-old housewife who wears a headscarf, attended an İmamoğlu rally last week and is planning to vote for the CHP for the first time. “This is a 180-degree turn for me,” she said. “But I’m not afraid of change. When I can’t afford to go to the market, what’s left to fear?

So as many of you may know, this is an election year here in Canada. In October we again go to the polls, and Trudeau is suffering his lowest popularity ever. At least domestically. The whole SNC-Lavalin corruption scandal is mostly out of the news cycle now but is still fresh in people's minds. Appearing in the Christchurch District Court on Monday, the accused was granted interim name suppression but was declined bail by Judge Stephen O’Driscoll.

When an organization says "our goal is to fight X", whether X be #racism, #poverty, #terrorism or #crime, it sounds kinda okay until you think about it and realize that when the goal is to fight, then to win is not in their interest, as winning means the end of the fight, disappearance of the goal. The goal is explicitly defined to maintain the fight. A surprisingly many organizations are very honest in saying this.

#Documentary #Terrorism Funding Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia (2003) - YouTube
https://youtu.be/61enaJMFmPQ
Allan Gerson has sued Saudi charities, banks and members of the royal family for two trillion dollars. He accuses them of financing the September 11 attacks and Bali bombing: "We have seen evidence of money that went from Saudi sources through various entities in Europe to support terrorist cells." These allegations are strenuously denied by Crown Prince Abdullah, ruler of Saudi Arabia. However, there is a growing gulf between the governing elite and their subjects and many Saudis are angered by America's unwavering support for Israel.

2019 Christchurch Mosque Shooting study resources

I decided to post links to both the helmet cam video and manifesto as apparently supplied by Brenton Tarrant regarding his alleged murderous rampage upon the Muslim community at the Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand, on March 15, 2019. From Wikipedia:
The Christchurch mosque shootings were two consecutive terrorist mass shootings at the Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Islamic Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand, during Friday Prayer on 15 March 2019. The attacks began at the Al Noor Mosque in the suburb of Riccarton at 1:40 pm, and continued at the Linwood Islamic Centre at about 1:55 pm.

The attacks killed 50 people and injured 50 more. A 28-year-old Australian man and white supremacist described in media reports as part of the “alt-right”, was arrested

Could you imagine in a year we find out this mosque was under investigation for extremism and grooming of young kids and caught doing it?

You don't have to imagine. It already happened and they scrubbed the story from the internet within hours of the shooting.

Liberals either handle the border situation, or fascists take over

Clinton’s assessment of the European political situation is accurate. According to recent poll numbers, 63 percent of French people believe too many immigrants are living in their country. One-third of the British people who voted in 2016 to leave the European Union cited immigration as their primary reason. In Germany, 38 percent rate immigration as the most important issue facing their country. Thanks in great part to their anti-immigration messages, populist parties now govern Italy, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

Across the developed world, very high levels of immigration have coincided with widening class divisions, the discrediting of political and economic elites, and the rise of extremist politics. And immigration pressures will only intensify in the decades ahead, for reasons obscured by media coverage of immigrants as poor and desperate.

US-Americans going to require visas to enter EU, starting 2021

The new requirements cover a zone known as the "Schengen" area where countries have abolished most of their mutual border controls as part an effort to foster European unity. It includes 22 nations in the European Union but does not include countries such as the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The European Commission said the registration system was "created to identify any security or irregular migratory risks posed by visa-exempt visitors travelling to the Schengen area, whilst at the same time facilitate crossing borders for the vast majority of travellers who do not pose such risks."

Have we come that far by now? Sad.

Bin Laden's son Hamza to succeed his father in al-Qaeda leadership

_ "He has released audio and video messages on the Internet, calling on his followers to launch attacks against the United States and its Western allies, and he has threatened attacks against the United States in revenge for the May 2011 killing of his father by U.S. military forces," the State Department said._

Since Osama bin Laden's death, al-Qaeda has been led by Ayman al Zawahiri, a trained surgeon who was born in Egypt. It is not immediately clear why, if the State Department's assessment is accurate, he is relinquishing power to Hamza bin Laden.

Osama bin Laden, the son of a Saudi construction and real estate development billionaire, is believed to have fathered at least 20 children from half a dozen wives and he himself was the 17th of 52 children. The letters uncovered in Pakistan after he was killed suggest that Hamza bin Laden may have been one of his favorites.

On the alliance between India and Israel

For months, Israel has been assiduously lining itself up alongside India’s nationalist BJP government in an unspoken – and politically dangerous – “anti-Islamist” coalition, an unofficial, unacknowledged alliance, while India itself has now become the largest weapons market for the Israeli arms trade.

But there was nothing unreal about the savage ambush of Indian troops in Kashmir on 14 February which the JeM claimed, and which left 40 Indian soldiers dead. Nor the shooting down of at least one Indian jet this week.

Israel itself is trying to explain away its continued sales of tanks, weapons and boats to the Myanmar military dictatorship – while western nations impose sanctions on the government which has attempted to destroy its minority and largely Muslim Rohingya people. But Israel’s arms trade with India is legal, above-board and much advertised by both sides.

Sudan's state of emergency will have consequences

Troika countries including Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States are engaged in discussions with Sudan to normalize bilateral relations and remove it from the terror list, for Washington, and to remove international sanctions and supports its efforts for debt relief for London.

On Monday Amnesty International said verified more than 45 dead and more than 180 people injured since the beginning of the protests in Sudan on 19 December 2018. Government officials say more than 2,600 people have been detained during the protests.

On Sunday, security forces fired live ammunition and teargas at protesters in Khartoum state, injuring at least three people. Heightened security was seen in Mumbai, the commercial capital of the country. Police vigil has been enhanced in Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik and Kolhapur as well. The government is ensuring there is no disturbance to the ongoing HSC (Class XII) examinations in the state.
