This song was very popular 40 years ago (the days of my youth):
We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the class room
Teachers leave those kids alone
... Crasy young hamsters!

Protests emerge as feminist group demands rights for praying women at Western Wall

Haaretz:

At the instruction of their rabbis, thousands of teenage girls from religious high schools around the country gathered at the Kotel, while hundreds of young ultra-Orthodox men tried to break through police barricades to attack the prayer group.

Held at a distance from the woman by security forces, the Haredi men vented their ire on the large group of men who had come out to support the Women of the Wall, including leaders of Israel's Conservative and Reform movements.

Rabbi Gilad Kariv, executive director of the Reform movement in Israel, called the police statement "scandalous" and attributed it to "utter chutzpah."

“The police failed in their duty,” she said. “They weren’t even attempting to protect us. There were thousand... show more

Thousands of people protest for Bouteflika's resignation

In a letter published by Algeria's official APS news agency on Thursday, the 82-year-old leader urged "vigilance" against "domestic and foreign" forces that might infiltrate the demonstrations.

The latest trend in toppling autocracies: Allege foreign forces to intervene in their internal affairs to fuel up demonstrations against them. No sense of reflection to examine their work, looking for any reason to detect any flaws. That's how the whole thing started.

The privately owned Arabic-language news website, El Khabar, quoted the public transport body for Algiers as saying that all bus, tram, train and metro services had been suspended ahead of the rally.

Banners at Friday's protest carried slogans saying: "Algeria is a republic, not a kingdom", and "No elections till the gangs are brought down", Reuters reports.
