I sure hope they leave Diaspora. Or at least get themselves segregated to a set of pod(s) that no normal people want to federate with. They sure will be missed. Not! If people that are new to Diaspora join and see these types of assholes - who typically are deceptive in their interests and their posts, only to try to "#redpill" people into their delusional ways - their impression will be quite poor about Diaspora, and that's a real shame. And no, in order for a platform to truly promote free speech, they do not have to tolerate the speech of Nazis.

On the dropped felony charges against Jussie Smolett
Smollett was charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police about being the victim of a hate crime. On Tuesday, prosecutors abandoned the case against Smollett in exchange for him forfeiting his $10,000 bond and doing a couple days of community service, though Smollett’s attorney has insisted there was no deal and no admission of guilt by Smollett.
“For people who do this work every day, who recognize what the charges are … we recognize that the likelihood that someone would get a prison sentence for a Class 4 felony is slim,” Foxx said in a conversation at WBEZ on Wednesday. “If you were able to isolate out what happens with other disorderly conduct cases when the defendant is not a celebrity, [I think that would give] greater clarity.”
That means since Foxx took over, about four times as many people charged with disorderly conduct have had their cases dropped than have been sentenced to prison time.

If you are truly open to finding out exactly what is and isn’t allowable in the podI have been open for free & honest debates for years, before your pod even existed.
Oh, this email you sent me today, said this:
Your account with pluspora has been permanently closed. This is due to multiple reports of hate speech postings, and also a special circumstance postings of images of the shooting in New Zealand for the purpose of gratituitous glorification, which was indicated would result in immediate personal ban across all federated pods. It's kinda weird that your Terms of Service say absolutely nothing about #hatespeech or #NewZealand: https://pluspora.com/terms
Are you guys making up rules on the fly? I also did not get any notification email of a change to those terms. And your terms even state:
Last Updated: 17th August, 2014As I said before, "you held me to some invisible standards of unwritten rules. I never violated any of the written rules, nor did I violate any laws."
WV GOP office going the Islamophobic way
(Thanks a lot, WV GOP! Now, when some of the oh-so Republican supporters and voters come up with Mr. Northam's blackface scandal, we can adress this incident to counter these highlights. And also, if you want to adress her insensitive decisions and so on (just remind me of them, I tend to forget them), remember that the GOP still didn't kick out Steve King.)
The booth at WVGOP Day, which was called "Republicans Take the Rotunda," also featured a book titled "Readin', Writin', and Jihadin' The Islamization of America Public Schools" and pamphlets titled "Islam in a Nutshell The Muslim Brotherhood," "Interfaith Dialouge or Deception," and "The Four Stages of Islamic Conquest." Not far away were cardboard cutouts of President Donald Drumpf, signs for "Drumpf Pence" and displays featuring West Virginia Republicans.
Delegate Mike Angelucci alleged the House sergeant at arms called all Muslims terrorists in an argument over the poster. "That's not freedom of speech," Angelucci said. "That's hate speech, and it has no place in this House. I don't want to see her representing the people of this state in this House again."
The GOP is a national threat
Ms. Omar's tweet was also linked in the article, and I scrolled through only a bit, until I came over this comment that showed that the US used to be better than this. The Arlington cemetery showed this the best, but have a look yourself, if you please.

Trump going to sign EO to enforce free speech on college campuses
Mr. Drumpf made the announcement at the 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) after he called up onstage Hayden Williams, a conservative activist who was assaulted while on a recent recruiting trip to the University of California, Berkeley.
“First of all, he can take a punch…that was a hell of a hard punch,” Mr. Drumpf said. “Ladies and gentlemen, he took a hard punch in the face for all of us and we can never allow that to happen.”
On the incident that sparked this presidential EO:
In the video, a man in black is seen shoving Hayden Williams, a volunteer with conservative group Talking Points USA. On his table in Upper Sproul was a sign that read, “Hate Crimes Hoaxes Hurt Real Victims” – a reference to the Jussie Smollett case – and another saying “This is MAGA Country.” After the shoving, two punches were landed by the suspect onto Williams – one soft and one much harder, directly in his face.
So, Talking Points USA (or maybe, this is the SF branch) has found about one real hoax that can be related to hate crimes, and devour this case as if all hate crimes were just hoaxes promoted by a so-called liberal agenda? Well, this man has taken a risk by building up his stand, this has got nothing to do with the limitation of free speech, but with the protection of victims from the hate speakers that, for example, involve in groups such as Talking Points.
“It started off as verbal and it kinda heightened up where he was breaking down posters and taking down a table,” said Erbil. “This is something I’ve never really seen at Sproul. I know there’s a lot of political tension going on, but I’ve never been around for those events.”
“The university condemns in the strongest possible terms, violence and harassment of any sort, no matter who the perpetrators are, no matter who the targets are,” said Assistant Vice Chancellor of UC Berkeley Public Affairs Dan Mogulof.
