Yes indeed, if you striving, it means that you use your external muscles, this way is full #yang, and we tire quickly, and it's not easy or possible to find relaxation and #meditation in the movement. So it's not pleasant if we look for these states. But it's of course possible to practice Tai Chi just like that, like almost all the known martial arts. But it's pity because we miss out its essence !
There is two distincts #martial-arts: External & Internal.
And in Tai Chi, known as #internal-arts, the power, and the #health aspect, come from the use of internal muscles, called #fascias, Wiki/Fascia, and when we move that way, the body is completely relaxed, we're full #yin, we don't provide any effort, and in the martial aspect there is a very great strength, surprisingly bigger than #yang.
I know it may sound strange to hear, and seems counter intuitive, to think that one is stronger in the relaxation than in the hardness ! It's a good thing to taste this with someone experienced.
When you focusing in the yin way, you can #feeling tense or stress, and remove it, calm down your #mind, learn good posture and concentration, bring your body and your energy into balance, strengthen your back and all your body... In a word, in #TaiChiChuan, everything comes from #relaxation ! We research to be like water, or like wind ^^
There is a lot of fascia research going on these day, and it's clearly relevant to do fasciatherapy, Fascia Research, Fascia Research Congress.
Also, in #China, there are university hospitals that only work with #fasciatherapy, and with #Qigong (it's like #TaiChi but is not martial), and they have excellent results.
I like "Pushing Hands/Tuishou" a lot as well 😊 on fixed step, on moving step, codified, balistic, with chin na, free... It's a very good exercise to learn to "listen" with the skin, to feel, and to stick the training partner, or the opponent.
And with its "Eight Gates & Five Steps" we have everything we need in martial applications.
I'm also enjoying that little figure @Shonie Hutter, and to know that you do Tai Chi too! 😊
The little animated #Sifu (master) come from mail signature from one of my instructor, and it's a very good representation of the movement "Wave Hands Like Clouds", or "Cloud Hands", I mean the draftsman/programmer did his job well, as you saw 😃
Cloud hands is great #Taijiquan exercise that can assist in balancing your #energy, #stress relief, have good posture and #concentration... and maybe, as the saying goes so well Shonie, connect you with your peace inside ☯🛐
I'm happy for you that you find in Tai Chi deep states of peace and energy regeneration Shonie ! ๑✧(❀◦‿◦)
And I hope I did not make too many mistakes, and that you can understand well my message, because if that's pretty much ok for me for reading, I still have work to learn to write 😛

It is very early in the Democratic Primary race (the first state primaries are still nearly a year away) but two lesser-known candidates have burst onto the scene in recent weeks, from relative obscurity: Andrew Yang, a tech entrepreneur, and Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana.
We collected data from Twitter and Oddschecker to chronicle their rise:
Andrew Yangʼs Twitter followers have more than doubled in the past month
Yangʼs campaign strategy ("podcasts and memes") is continuing to bear fruit, as his Twitter following has steadily grown and recently eclipsed 200,000 followers.
The meteoric rise of "Mayor Pete" can be traced back to a CNN town hall on March 10th: his follower growth picked up drastically after the event, and hasnʼt shown signs of slowing down.
Over the past few weeks, Yang and Buttigieg have started to make some noise in betting markets. Their odds of winning the Democratic nomination have each jumped from about 1%^1 (Buttigieg wasnʼt even listed at all until mid-February) to over 5%.
While this bump may look more like a blip in the chart below, betting markets now rank Buttigieg and Yang 5th and 6th, respectively, in the Democratic field, ahead of clearly-legitimate candidates like Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker.
It is often said that "Twitter is not real life," and surely betting markets arenʼt either. They are an output based on closer-to-real-life inputs, like polls, and media coverage. Indeed, most polls show Yang and Buttigieg receiving 1% of fewer of the vote, hardly an indicator of a real chance at receiving the nomination.
Still, there is an argument to be made that markets can be a leading indicator of performance. Sure enough, a Quinnipiac poll released this morning showed Buttigieg polling at 4% nationally, easily his strongest result yet. His odds jumped further.

#AndrewYang2020 - so that our babyboys will no longer be circumcised!
But in an interview with The Daily Beast, he said that if he were elected he would incorporate that view into public policy, mainly by pushing initiatives meant to inform parents that they don’t need to have their infants circumcised for health reasons.
But Yang’s coalition seems to be comprised of a hodgepodge of groups with offbeat interests beyond just universal basic income. And he now has his eye on a new demographic: circumcision opponents who call themselves “intactivists”—a reference to their desire to keep penises “intact.”
“The more choice we give parents, and the more we diminish the possible preconceptions or misinformation various parents are receiving, then the better off we’ll be as a society,” Yang said.

@Cliff Bramlett I didn't know whether you heard about this rather off-topic statement yet, so, here you go.

Andrew Yang, a former tech executive who founded Venture for America, announced Tuesday that he has qualified for the first round of the Democratic primary debate by raising money from more than 65,000 unique donors.
The big picture: Yangʼs top 3 policy concerns are universal basic income, Medicare for All and a "human-centered capitalism" approach to the economy. His proposal for universal basic income, his central campaign issue, is grounded in a belief that millions of jobs will be wiped away due to automation.

News on Democratic president candidate Andrew Yang
(Spoiler alert: Two of those three news are less flattering on his persona but are related to his presidential campaign and the use of memes that appear disadvantageous for his reputation and his chance to be elected president in the #Election2020.)
Citing dysfunction and technological flux, he has staked his intrepid campaign on the message that the economy “is going wrong for millions of people” and that he will make “big moves” to right it. It’s landed with the NEETbux crowd. And so Yang has replaced Donald Drumpf as the meme candidate. His success on the internet serves him right, I guess.
Journalists have approvingly referenced #YangGang in a way that they never could the assorted tropes of the alt-right. Yang has been shrewd, doing everything an outsider without the instant name recognition and deep pockets of Donald Drumpf ought to do to generate buzz. He’s been written up in Bloomberg and Vox. He’s appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, in what his campaign manager says was a breakthrough. He’s gone on Sam Harris’s podcast and Ezra Klein’s, the Breakfast Club radio show and Tucker Carlson Tonight. He’s held town-hall events in Iowa and New Hampshire. And perhaps most important, he operates a well-run, good-natured Twitter account.
Yang is polling at 1 percent, and while his policy set is impressively comprehensive (and suggests a familiarity with the hobby-horses of the technocratic blogosphere), his signature proposal is not the sort of thing that will mobilize Bernie Sanders supporters or the DSA crowd. He proposes “consolidating some welfare programs” to offset the cost of the universal dividend and wants to impose a 10 percent value-added tax to pay for it, opening him up to an attack from the left.
2. The Verge:
But on /pol/, he’s the only candidate that matters. The boards are full of Yang-related memes, including familiar faces like Wojak and Pepe. One reworked the Virgin / Chad meme (contrasting a dejected virgin with a carefree and popular Chad) to show Yang triumphing over a humiliated Drumpf.“He feels like someone who forms his own ideas and knows what he’s talking about,” one online supporter told me. “And YangGang sounds like a dope group to be a part of.”
“As one of the first Asian American candidates for President in our history and the son of immigrants, I see racism and white nationalism as a threat to the core ideals of what it means to be an American,” Yang continued. “I have two young children who will grow up in this country. I know what that means. “
Andrew Yang has been a Democratic presidential candidate for well over a year. But chances are, you’ve never heard of him. He’s not a lawmaker. He has just over 90,000 Twitter followers. As of Dec. 31, 2018, his campaign committee had $38,730.78 cash on hand. He’s spent a grand total of $33,000 on Facebook ads. And has not run a single TV ad.Yang’s team has tried to apply his unconventional media approach elsewhere. Days after the Rogan podcast, he sat down with Fox News host Tucker Carlson. He recently taped an appearance on The Breakfast Club, a national hip-hop news radio show.

And of course I have to mention @Cliff Bramlett in this post, since you seem to be a strong supporter of Andrew Yang. Once I told you that he didn't reach the spotlight of the news yet, but finally, theyh ave become aware of him. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to make it. 🙁
A link between Robert Kraft, Donald Trump, and a Chinese prostitution ring
Yang, a donor to the Republican Party and Drumpf campaign, popped up this week in photos showing her at a Super Bowl viewing party at the Drumpf-owned Mar-a-Lago that included a selfie with the president, the Miami Herald reported.
It details Yang's vast network within the Drumpf administration and Republican Party — including photos with the president, his family, members of Congress and key White House aides — and offers businesses and individuals a window into that network.
Yang is described on the page as a “member of the presidential fundraising committee” and was listed as “one of the only guests in South Florida who was invited to the White House to celebrate” the Chinese New Year in 2018.
